New Drivers, First Race, and First Signatures

Together with Midland Classic Restorations we have been helping four newly licened racing drivers achieve their goal of going racing, with a plan ultimetely to enter the Le Mans Classic in 2011. To do this they have acquired a 1932 Citroen which is a recreation of an original car that competed at Le Mans. Their Car was prepared for and entered he 2010 Le ans Classic, and is currently being refreshed. We hope to have that car out in some VSCC races soon.

The main hurdle faced by Paul,Mike, Gary and Martin is some race finishes to get their licences up to the correct Grade, and also to learn some race craft

To gain this experience they have also purchased an FIA appendix K MG-A, and are Hiring a Sebring Sprite from Midland Classic Restorations.

Black Cat Racing and MCR have been preparing and running the cars together with providing instruction to the drivers.

So far we have had two very successful Test Days at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

Last weekend was our first race together, and we are happy to report that both cars came back intact, and the drivers had some signatures on their licences to go with their beaming smiles.

Our next race with them is at Donington Park at the end of May, and we are aiming to start moving up the order a little.
