Black Cat Racing was formed in 2001 To race a TVR Tasmin in the Tasmin challenge. This was a Junior offshoot of the much higher profile Tuscan challenge.
The Team was Setup by Graham and Ian Walden to Build and compete the Cars.
After Taking the Tasmin to first in class in 2004, and with a Pole position in a one off formula Ford Race the Team Purchased a Tuscan Challenge car Rolling Chassis.
This was Initially prepared with a 4ltr road car engine for 2005 to compete in the TVRCC Series. This season Produced plenty of wins and a 2nd in class narowly missing out on the clas win.
2006 would see an engine partner in Caslte Race Engines and a new 5ltr engine. This produced a dominant season, in the new combined championship of the TVRcc Series and the TVR Tuscan Challenge. Resulting in an overall and class win for the season.
During the 2006 Season the Teams Tasmin was also run as an arrive and drive car for a number of different drivers.
2007 unfortunetly saw a big accident in testing at Cadwell park mid way through the season which effectivly ended our year.
the 2008 and 2009 seasons saw a reduced number of outings, as We concentrated on Working as a Team Manager and Race engineer consultant for other teams, Specialising in long distance races such as the Britcar 24hr Race for established teams Such as Moore Racing, and Eclipse.
The team would also continue to field the Tuscan for Graham, and produced a number of wins and fastest laps.
2010 again saw a reduced race entry for Graham due to work commitments, but this still produced dominant entries at Snetterton and Mallory park. Â The Team also made a Trip to Spa Francochamps during the Classic 6 Hour Race, and Competed in a one hour race with a frogeye sprite. Graham Also Team Managed a Radical SR8 in the Nevada trophy in spain and the Radical challenge in the uk, as well as Working With Eclipse with the Molser in the Britcar 24hr
2011 Saw the Team expanding further into driver development with four new drivers and a Le Mans Classic Project for 2012. Much of 2011 was spent organising and promoting a One hour race as Spa Francorchamps www.race-at-spa.com.
This proved a successful and very enjoyable event and we hope to put it on again in the future.
2012 Would only see The Tuscan in one event the 6 hr Birkett Relay race in October, after an engine problem in testing. The Engine now being prepared by Midland Classic Restorations. The rest of the year was spent with the Le Mans Classic Project. This proved very successful and all 4 drivers got to experience the full Le Mans circuit during the 2 day and 1 night race.
For 2013 The Focus switched back to the Tuscan and  the  Dunlop Tvr Challenge. This resulted in pole position at each round  and other than the Last meeting that we didn’t enter due to work commitments we finished on the podium at each race. taking the first step in  all but one event where Graham Put the car into second Place. At the End of the year despite dropping a round We managed 1st in class and 3rd overall.
2014 Is a year Off from the full Championship and we will compete in selected rounds of the Tvr Challenge as well as some Guest appearances with the 750mc, Classic and sports car club and Hopefully a meeting at Spa Francorchamps.
Away from the Driving seat this year Graham is also working with a number of drivers and will again be Helping Run a car at the Le Mans Classic
